BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT)–More than 300 people from across the state took part in a march from the Sheraton Hotel to the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church Saturday, April 6th. The marchers represent the young people and children’ss division of the African American Methodist Episcopal Church. They rallied together in the spirit of non violence. Many in attendance said they were hurt by the rash of killings and violence in Birmingham. The march follows a violent month in the Magic City where nine people were killed as a result of gun violence. Six of those cases remain unsolved.
