CYPRESS, Texas (WIAT) – A stabbing on a Texas university campus left more than a dozen people injured on Tuesday. Two of the injured people are in critical condition.
The stabbing occurred at Lone Star College, a university in the Houston area, around 1 p.m. on Tuesday.
The suspect, a student, is in custody.
A lockdown was issued for the entire campus as a precaution.
“I was in the middle of math class, and I hear thumping upstairs and I thought it was just people stepping real hard,” Gabby Deleon said. “Then this guy comes in and tells us we’re in lockdown.
“We didn’t really know what was going on and I looked out the window and saw somebody holding their neck and people crowding around her. That was pretty much it. They told us to get away from the windows and to just stay calm.”
In January, a shooting at a second Lone Star College campus left three people injured.
