LEEDS, Ala. (WIAT) – A state prison inmate on work release in Leeds has disappeared.

In a release tonight by the Alabama Department of Corrections says they made the discovery around 11:30am Sunday when inmate Clydie May Johnson was unaccounted for at her jobsite in Leeds.

A subsequent search of the area produced negative results.

Johnson is a white female, 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighing 250 pounds, with hazel eyes and brown hair.

She was sentenced out of Dekalb County on July 28, 2011, and is serving a 15 year sentence for forgery.

Johnson has a scheduled parole date in November, 2013, with a minimum release date in November, 2015.
