BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) – Birmingham Police say customers visiting a popular gas station across from Elmwood Cemetery were getting a bargain on more than just gas.
The store’s owner, Giau Le, is charged with receiving stolen property while operating the business.
Investigators say Le purchased with the intent to resell what he believed were stolen items from undercover police officers at his store.
After being questioned, more than $7,000 in stolen items were recovered from the business and Le’s home in Eagle Point.
The items ranged from shoes, to video games, to kitchen mixers, to power tools.
