BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) – It can be difficult to coax animals out of the house to get into the car and take a trip to the vet’s office.
As such, some pet owners are now opting for veterinarian house calls.
Vets say the most common house calls are for regular check-ups and routine vaccinations.
They can provide just about any service except surgery and a few other services.
Because the vet comes to the home to administer treatment, it allows the pets to be more at ease, because it is used to its surroundings.
A house call costs pet owners an extra $100 more than a regular office visit.
