Dansby agreed to a one-year deal according to the team. He was drafted by Arizona in the 2nd round of the 2004 NFL Draft (33rd overall). Dansby was released by the Dolphins in March after leading the team in tackles (133) during the 2012 season. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

He will fill a void for the Cardinals, who will be without starting linebacker Daryl Washington for the first four games of the 2013 season due to suspension. There’s no question about his durability as he’s only missed eight regular season games in nine NFL seasons.

Dansby was a key member of the 2008 Arizona team which lost in the Steelers in Super Bowl 43. He garnered 8 tackles and an interception in that game.
