BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) – The Jefferson County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is joining forces with law enforcement and other rescue groups to get ready for real life disasters.
On Tuesday, the groups simulated an explosion with possible injuries.
Deputies prepared a robot to go inside the building to find any possible bombs.
HAZMAT teams geared up in case harmful chemicals were involved.
Team leaders say they take current, real life disasters and build exercises based on them.
