GALVESTON, TX. (WIAT) – After $115 million in repairs, Carnival’s Triumph cruise ship is back at sea.
The ship is completely sold out for its first two trips back on the open sea.
The four-day cruise set sail on Thursday morning from Galveston, Texas.
In February, passengers spent days adrift in the Gulf of Mexico without electricity or working restrooms.
More trouble awaited the ship as it stayed in a Mobile port.
The vessel broke free from its moorings, bounding around the Mobile Bay and hitting docks along the way.
One worker died after being tossed into the water.
