TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) – CPR can mean the difference between life and death, but when it comes to infants, many people hesitate to perform CPR.
The Reese Phifer Jr. Memorial Foundation has donated CPR Anytime infant kits to neonatal intensive care units and several families in west Alabama.
The kits include an inflatable practice doll that clicks when CPR is being performed correctly.
The kits are especially important because choking and heart disease are the leading causes of injury-related deaths in infants.
