Birmingham, AL (WIAT)-Elena Myers isn’t your typical 19 year old girl.
After spending years out on the track, she has proven she has what it takes to race with the boys.
“It was awesome. I won my first race out at in Infineon two years prior, my first professional race. And I had been working hard to try and get my second win and it really couldn’t have been at a better place.
That was at Daytona, another marker for her career as the first female to win any motorsports event at the historic track.
“I actually just recently moved here a couple months ago training with my Triumph teammates and it’s been awesome. Everybody is very friendly which is a little bit of a change so I am enjoying it. And minus the humidity, it’s been great.”
