Wet weather puts a damper on Fourth of July celebrations across the southeast. People were urged Thursday to stay off the roads in the Decatur area, where widespread flooding has made some streets impassable. Many drivers were left stranded after their cars stalled in high water.
It was more of the same on Florida’s panhandle. Several roads are closed in the Panama City Beach area. More than ten inches of rain fell across the area Thursday. Police had to shut down roads and re-route traffic on the beach after holiday celebrations were cancelled.
