CULLMAN, Ala. (WIAT) – After several weeks of upgrades, all of Cullman County’s tornado sirens are back in service.
Because of new FCC Requirements, the Emergency Management Agency had to change out some of the equipment.
The county’s 42 sirens now meet the new narrowbanding requirements.
The upgrade cost $93,000.
The EMA will test the sirens on the first Wednesday of every month.
