Superintendent of Hoover City Schools publicly addresses decision to halt bus services in 2014

HOOVER, Ala. (WIAT) – On Thursday,  the Superintendent of Hoover City Schools is expected to address the decision to end bus service starting in August 2014, with the exception of special education buses.

It will be the first time he has addressed the issue publicly since the decision was made on Monday.

During a Wednesday meeting with affected drivers, several employees were critical that the superintendent was not there in person.

Approximately 140-150 of them are impacted and many could potentially be losing their jobs according to a school board spokesperson.
