WASHINGTON, D. C. (WIAT) – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has released product recalls on two children’s products.
Kids II announced a recall for its Baby Einstein Musical Motion Activity Jumpers because of an impact hazard. The recall applies to about 400,000 units in the United States and 8,000 units in Canada.
The “sun” attachment to the activity jumpers has potential to rebound with force and injure infants who use it. The CPSC received 100 reports of incidents including 61 injuries.
Kids II says the remedy for the issue is to replace by calling Kids II toll-free at (877) 325-7056 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday or visit www.kidsii.com.
Additionally, a recall has been issued for Rockland Furniture round cribs after it was discovered that the drop-side rails can malfunction or detach. The recall applies to about 3,900 cribs.
The malfunction can cause the rail to fall out of position and put the infant in the crib in danger of becoming wedged or trapped.
Those who own the product and wish to receive a repair kit can contact Rockland Furniture by calling toll-free at (877) 967-5770 or visit www.rocklandimmobilizationkit.com.
