Gadsden man arrested and charged with burglary after church break-in

GADSDEN, Ala. (WIAT) — An Etowah County man is charged with breaking into a Gadsden church.

Investigators found the man, 42-year-old Bobby McCain, in a rather unusual place.

Police found McCain inside First Baptist Church in Gadsden hiding under a pew.

McCain faces several charges, including burglary and public intoxication.

He’s being held in the Etowah County Jail on $500,000 bond.
