Alabama practices indoors in preps of their second scrimmage

TUSCALOOSA,AL.(WIAT)- The Alabama Crimson Tide practiced indoors on Friday in preps of getting ready for their second scrimmage of camp. The biggest story line of the day is LaMichael Fanning going from tight end back to his original position of defensive end. The Tide will hold their scrimmage on Saturday at 1:00pm. Below is the press release from the University of Alabama on the Tide’s practice:

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama football team practiced for approximately two hours in shells in the Hank Crisp Indoor Practice Facility. The team continued preparations for its second scrimmage of fall training camp.

The practice was the 18th of fall camp. After the scrimmage on Saturday the Crimson Tide will take Sunday and Monday off before returning to the practice fields on Tuesday. Alabama has 10 more practices before meeting Virginia Tech in the season opener.

ESPN.com announced its preseason All-American team on Friday. The Crimson Tide was well represented as three players nabbed the honors. Ha Ha Clinton-Dix was the lone free safety named to the team and was joined by linebacker C.J. Mosley and wide receiver Amari Cooper.
