Detecting former or even current meth operations

PELHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Reports that exposure to an unexpected meth lab at a local lodge sent four Pelham Police Officers to the hospital Monday night are signs that a serious societal problem isn’t going away.

It’s not the first alarming account of a meth lab found in an area hotel. Investigators say the chemicals used to make meth are not only dangerous when it is active, but linger long after the meth cooks close up shop and leave.
