BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) – Children fighting the battle of their lives received a surprise visit from some of their heroes on Tuesday morning at Children’s of Alabama.

Superman, Captain America and Batman, or rather, employees of Squeegee Cleaning Services, scaled the walls of the hospital to put smiles on the faces of the children who are fighting to beat their illnesses.

“It’s really exciting, making the kids feel special, because sometimes, you know, when they’re in the hospital, that’s not normal for children,” said Jennifer Deneke, the hospital’s Director of Family Services.

The cleaning was a part of Squeegee Cleaning Services’ biannual window washing at the hospital.
