TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) – Tuscaloosa police are asking for the public’s help identifying a woman who had cocaine and opiates in her system and left the hospital without her newborn child. The child also reportedly had cocaine and opium in its system.
The woman was taken to DCH in Tuscaloosa around 3 a.m. on Tuesday, according to a release from the Tuscaloosa Police Department.
Later, she reportedly walked out of the hospital with two unknown black males.
The woman faces charges of chemical endangerment of exposing a child to an environment in which controlled substance are produced or distributed.
Police also believe she gave a false name when she was brought into the hospital.

Anyone who gives information that leads to an arrest will receive a cash reward.
