A very chilly to cold start for all of central Alabama today as numbers got down into the freezing range in some spots and near freezing in the rest of our viewing area. Sunshine will be abundant all across the area as high pressure continues to give us great looking weather for this Wednesday and dry weather stays parked in place.
We will have another clear night with chilly temps to start our Thursday as many of us will again hit the middle and upper 30s for lows with a few lower 40s across our southern counties, but the threat of freezing temps will not be a concern across our viewing area.
There will be a good bit of sunshine for the area on Thursday, but a few clouds will that start to build in as a southerly breeze begins to usher in a bit more moisture. There will not really be any chances of rain until we get into Friday morning and Friday afternoon as a wave will pass across the Gulf coast of Alabama and the Florida panhandle. Not everyone will get much in the way of rain, but the cloud cover will be widespread for Friday.
The weekend is looking fantastic for the celebration of Easter. Temps will continue to warm on Saturday and Sunday with highs into the upper 70s and lows into the upper 40s and lower 50s. Sunshine will be abundant all across the southeastern U.S. so those Easter egg hunts should go off without any weather problems!
