Three arrested in 4 month investigation in Tuscaloosa

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) - The West Alabama Narcotics Task Force has arrested three suspects after a four month long undercover investigation. Agents had purchased high grade marijuana from the suspects multiple times over the course of the investigation. The three suspects were arrested last Friday afternoon.

In total, WANTF agents recovered a pound and a half of marijuana, valued at $9,000. That included marijuana that was sold to them and marijuana that was seized at the time of arrest. In addition to the drugs, $25,000 was seized as well. The investigation is ongoing and more charges are pending with additional suspects to be arrested.

The three arrested are Chip Ervin, 35; Andrea Harbin, 28; and Jack Nathaniel Washburne III. Ervin has been charged with one count of Possession of Marijuana (1st Degree) and one count of Sale of a Controlled Substance within 3 miles of a School. He is currently in Tuscaloosa County Jail with bond set at $45,000. Harbin has been charged with 3 counts of Distribution of a Controlled Substance and is in Tuscaloosa County Jail with a $30,000 bond. Finally Washburne was charged with 3 counts of Distribution of a Controlled Substance and one count of Attempting to Elude. He is in Tuscaloosa County Jail with bond set at $20,000.
