Just like every time at Talladega it brings the unexpected. After the talk of storms cancelling qualifying, it all became true as the drivers didn’t get to take the track to see who could take the poll in Aaron’s 499.
The rains came early and often on Saturday at Talladega Superspeedway. It was determined that the racetrack was too wet to hold the scheduled qualifying for Sunday’s Aaron’s 499.
It wasn’t a washout on Friday at Talladega. Carl Edwards was the fastest in the afternoon Sprint Cup practice session with a blistering fast lap of 199.675 mph.
